Beverly Hills Board of Education Unanimously Agrees to Compromise on Opportunity Permits On January 12, 2010, the Board of Education determined that opportunity permits will not be granted for the 2010-2011 school year, with the following exceptions for students currently attending the Beverly Hills Unified School District on an opportunity permit in 2009-2010: students on opportunity permits entering 8th grade for the 2010-11 school year and students on opportunity permits entering 10th, 11th and 12th grade for the 2010-11 school year.

Beverly Hills High School Educator Recognized as Educator of Distinction The Beverly Hills Unified School District and the staff at Beverly Hills High School is proud to announce that Joanie Garratt, history teacher at Beverly was recently recognized by the National Society of High School Scholars, with the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award.
